Beetroot Syrup
Beetroot is a good source of all the following minerals: calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese,
phosphorus, sodium, zinc, copper, selenium. Beetroot along with palm sugar, which is a rich source of
iron will serve as a natural iron tonic and will definitely boost iron levels when taken continuously.

Ingredients
Beetroots - large 3
Palm sugar - ½ cup
Water - ¼ cup
Method
Wash, peel and grind the beets, extract juice and keep aside. In a pan, let it boil, add the powdered
palm sugar and let it dissolve completely. Once dissolved, strain the liquid to remove any impurities.
Now boil the filtered liquid till it forms a syrup consistency. To that, add the extracted beetroot juice, mix well
and allow to boil till nice thick consistency. Switch off the flame and allow it to cool. store in a glass bottle
for future use.

Note - Store syrup in the fridge will last for some weeks. Use a clean spoon every time you use it.
