Spicy Potato Fry



A simple potato fry with rice and sambar is a classic south Indian dish and all time favorite.

Ingredients

Potato cubed - 2 cups
Jeera - ½ Tsp
Chili powder - ½ tsp
Coriander powder - ½ tsp
Fennel powder - ½ tsp
Jeera powder - ½ tsp
Pepper powder -½ tsp
Garlic powder - ½ tsp
Kasuri methi dried powder - ¼ tsp
Curry leaf powder -¼ tsp
Garam masala powder - ¼ tsp
Oil - 2 tbsp
Salt to taste


Method

Wash and peel potatoes.
Cut them into cubes and keep in a bowl of water until use.
In a pan add the oil and when is hot add jeera and the cubed potatoes and fry well.

Add salt and rest of all the spices. saute well in a low flame and
stir in between till the potatoes cooked and roasted thoroughly.
When done serve with rice.

Note:
If the potatoes are not cooked it will be hard inside then sprinkle some water and cook well.
You can add more oil for better roasting of the potatoes.
Adding Kasuri methi gives nice aroma.
