Paneer Butter Masala


Paneer butter masala is a popular paneer dish from Indian recipes.


Ingredients:

Paneer - 1 cup
Onion - 1 chopped
Tomato - 1 chopped
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 Tsp
Garam Masala Powder - ½ Tsp
Red Chili Powder - 1 Tsp
Kasuri Methi - 1 Tsp
Cashew Nuts - 1 Tbsp
Butter - 2 Tbsp
Oil - 1 Tsp
Salt - As required
Cream - ¼ Cup (Optional)

Method:
Heat oil in a pan. Saute the chopped onions, tomatoes, and cashew nuts together. Grind this mixture into a smooth paste and keep aside.

Then heat a pan and add oil and butter to it and once the butter
melts add the ginger garlic paste and saute well till the smell leaves.
Now add chili powder, garam masala powder and mix well.
Immediately add the ground paste and Kasuri methi then mix well.
Add salt to taste and allow it to cook on medium flame.
Mix now and then till the oil leaves from the mixture.

Then add paneer and mix well. Finally, add the cream.
Now serve hot with Naan or Roti.

Notes:
Take care to not burn the dry masalas when adding the oil.
Can add few almonds along with cashews.
Adding Butter is better because it gives a nice flavor.
You can fry the paneer before adding to the gravy.
