Herb and Garlic cream cheese



Cream cheese is a mild tasting cheese produced from cow’s milk. Cream cheese is a very popular dip for baby carrots and celery sticks..

Ingredients


Whole Milk - 2 cups
Fresh Lemon juice/ Vinegar - 2 tbsp
Garlic powder - 1 Tsp
Dried Oregano - 1 Tsp
Dried Basil - 1 Tsp
Chili flakes - 2 Tsp
Salt to taste


Method


Heat the milk once it starts to boil and add the fresh lemon juice/ Vinegar.
Keep stirring till the milk curdles and separates into a yellow liquid in the bottom and think curd on top.


Strain the above mixture using a sieve. Transfer the curds to a food processor
And add garlic powder, dried oregano, and salt and grind to a smooth mixture.


Garlic cream cheese is ready for use!


Note:-
Use the strained liquid for soups, you can also cook dhal or knead chapati flour with it as this is
rich in protein (whey protein).
Add any herb mixture as per your choice.
Refrigerate and use this homemade cream cheese within a week.
