Badam Katli
Ingredients
Almond Flour - 1 Cup
Sugar powder - 1 Cup
Water - ¼ Cup
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Cardamom Powder - 2 tbsp
Saffron - 10-12 (threads)
Method
- In a heavy bottomed pan add sugar and water and let the sugar completely dissolve and it will start to bubble up.
- Once you get the correct consistency(gather it, and it should form a string between your fingers) add the almond flour and keep stirring.
- Cook until it gets thick and dense in consistency.
- Add the saffron and cardamom powder and mix well.
- Now take the mixture in a plate and allow it to cool for some time.
- grease your hands with some ghee and Knead the mixture until smooth.
- Place it over butter paper. Press with hand and flatten and with help of rolling pin, press gently and roll into 1/3 cm thin.
- Leave it for 10-15 minutes to set.
- now with help of Pizza cutter or Knife cut into pieces with any shape or size as per your preference. Badam Katli is ready.
Note
This is an alternate and easy way to make badam katli using store bought almond flour.
Always keep the flame medium while preparing this sweet.
To make this badam katli , ilam kambi padam is enough.
